“W” the movie – Credits 8 PRODUCTION COMPANIES and 17 PRODUCERS. Does that seem RIDICULOUS to YOU?

By malibufats

NOW YOU KNOW WHY THE ACADEMY LIMITS OSCARS TO THREE PRODUCERS OF “BEST PICTURE”

                        8 PRODUCTION COMPANIES:

LIONGATE, OMNILAB MEDIA, QED INTERNATIONAL, BLOCK/HANSON, EMPEROR MOTION PICTURES, MILLBROOK PICTURES, GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, MORITZ BORMAN/IXTLAN

                              17 PRODUCERS

CO-PRODUCERS: ETHAN SMITH, SUZIE GILBERT

EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: ALBERT YOUNG, THOMAS STERCHI, ELLIOT FERWERDA, JOHNNY HON, TERESA CHEUNG, TOM ORTENBERG, CHRISTOPHER MAPP, DAVID WHEALY, MATTHEW STREET, PETER GRAVES

CO-EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: JON KILIK

PRODUCED BY: BILL BLOCK, ERIC KOPELLOFF, PAUL HANSON and MORITZ BORMAN

And the ad for the movie is copyrighted by PRESCOTT PRODUCTIONS, LLC  (hard to say where they fit in)

IT SEEMS TOTALLY FEASIBLE THAT ANOTHER MOVIE OR TWO COULD BE MADE FROM ALL OF THIS.  THEY COULD BE BASED ON THE BACKGROUND STORIES EXPLAINING WHAT EACH OF THESE COMPANIES AND PEOPLE DID TO GAIN THE CREDIT GIVEN THEM.

IF THEY DO MAKE THEM, THEN I WANT A PRODUCER CREDIT.

Wonderful that all of these people will receive fat checks, when it took me almost three months to get my final check from this movie. Now they are trying to strong arm me to drop my labor board case against them by sending my closest supervisors at me to tell me that this case will hamper me from ever being hired again. My pay is simply a drop in the bucket compared to what these people will make.

HOLY CRAP – regret hearing you’ve been screwed around. Hope this kind of treatment doesn’t happen to you often. My blog post on “W” was generated when I counted all the producers. I’ve never seen that many before. It must be a record. I hope you can smooth your problem out, and that you can continue your work in transportation. Good luck to you, John. — malibufats
